Supertemps Killed the President

Season 3 Episode 1

There was hardly time to recover from the last adventure when, around midnight (eastern time), Bill Ramsey, a senator well-known for his anti-supers opinions, came onto the news. He brought evidence implicating that there was a massive plot on the part of the supers to take over the government, and several highranking officials were implicated as supers, involved in the plot. In a matter of minutes, Bill Ramsey found himself essentially elected acting dictator of the country.

Warrants were sent out for the arrest of Neil Greeve and all his associates. The sheriff of Juniper Hollow, where Neil and some of his associates were staying, was urgently faxed the warrant, and sent to arrest Neil. The sheriff, following orders, approached the hotel where Neil was staying. However, Neil, who had been suffering from insomnia lately, happened to be watching the news, and had a heads up. He managed to call most of his friends, and both Shannon and Sam, who’d been staying at the same hotel, managed to leave. Shannon checked out then morphed her features on the road, while Sam barricaded his door then climbed down bedsheets out his window, and hiked across country to get away. Neil also called Justin and told him to gather as much cash as he could, get rid of his cell phone, and leave town immediately. Justin did this, but he also took many of his weapons and his motorcycle when he left.

When the Sheriff entered Neil’s hotel room, Neil threatened him with a laptop battery. The Sheriff backed off a bit, but asked what was going on. Neil explained the situation to him, and the sheriff decided to help. He called up his nephew, Aiden, to drive Neil out of town.

However, his cell phone cut out in the conversation, so he and Neil headed out to the parking lot in search of better reception. Aiden was soon on his way, but meanwhile, Neil discovered a character hiding and eavesdropping from the back of a nearby truck. It turned out to be a frightened 12-year-old kid named Paval, who freaked out and shot a blast of cold water at Neil (it seemed Paval had elemental abilities). Neil didn’t hold it against him, but, upon discovering the kid was a super on the run, he decided to take the kid with him and Aiden. The three drove off to the border of the town, picking up a sample of water along the way (which Neil hoped to bring before the Supreme Court in his efforts to fix the government). They were stopped by a patrol along the way. Neil pretended he was holding the kid hostage, and demanded to be let passed. Three of the four guards freaked out due to Neil’s intimidation, but one of them seemed unphaseable, and didn’t stop for anything. Not even when his gun spontaneously caught on fire did he worry. He tried to jump over the truck, but the kid covered the roof in a layer of ice, and the guard slipped and fell. Aiden floored it, and managing to avoid all the fallen guards, hit the road. They found Sam trying to hitchhike along the way, and picked him up.

Meanwhile, Neil had managed to get ahold of each of his associates, and Richard, Jonathan, and Jeff each left their house in a hurry (leaving various booby traps on the parts of Richard and Jonathan). Jonathan and Jeff made their way to Richard’s and the three met up a block south of Richard’s house. The three decided they needed a new car, and pulled up at a house with a mustang parked out front. Jonathan knocked on the door, and a goth girl answered. Jonathan acted the way he usually does around girls, and she gave him her car. But it turned out her car was the volvo out front, so Jonathan invited himself in and talked to this other guy, Phil, who was the owner of the mustang. Jonathan critted an intimidation roll, and got the other car too. Then they left. The gothic girl kept Jonathan’s very nice mercedes.

Jonathan had not merely spent his time after Neil’s phone call booby trapping his house and driving to Richard’s. He had also used the passwords of a mob leader he’d once interrogated to purchase some heavy artillery and a bullet proof vehicle, which the group went to pick up. Jeff used his gravity powers to load up the stuff without leaving fingerprints, and they brought the steel containers out of town and decided to bury them. Jeff used his gravity powers to move the dirt. So that he would be able to see what he was doing, Jonathan created a mental link between Jeff and Richard.

When they were done with that, Jonathan decided they needed to contact Neil. Since all of them and Neil had destroyed their phones to prevent being tracked, Jonathan decided to guess Neil’s next move, and the group headed towards Washington DC. This was indeed where Neil had been headed, and Jonathan eventually managed to pick up Neil on a mental link. They agreed to rendevous at a public library. When they met, they began to make plans as to what to do about this Bill Ramsey character.

Benjamin's Teleportation Test

This is about the adventure that took Jeff, Shannon, and Richard away from Mike’s adventure for about 20 minutes. First, Benjamin appeared and teleported Jeff to a jail cell. Jeff helped the current inhabitant of the cell escape and then followed him into a car. After sending Jeff away, Benjamin came back to get Richard. Richard tried to attack Benjamin, but Benjamin dodged and Neil Greeve shot at Benjamin, but he missed and hit Richard in the leg. Benjamin was able to teleport Richard to someone’s bedroom, but Richard managed to delay Benjamin from leaving for a few seconds. Benjamin teleported away and a woman came into the room and suddenly hugged Richard, saying, “Kitty!” The woman then noticed that Richard was injured and bandaged his leg. She went across the street with Richard and saved someone that was tied to a chair from another person holding a gun. They left the gunman in the house, but took the victim outside and the three of them entered a van that appeared. Richard transformed from tiger to half form while riding in the van. After he got away from Richard, Benjamin went to get Shannon. He did not expect her to be so resistant and blame him for Justin‘s disappearance. He promised to help her find Justin if she helped him, so she agreed to help. He teleported them outside a building and told her to get them inside. He took what looked like a glass bookmark from one of the offices and they went back outside the building before he teleported her somewhere else. They teleported outside a mansion-like house and the car with Jeff and the van with Richard also appeared within a few minutes. Benjamin told Shannon and the person that Richard helped save (apparently also a shapeshifter) to shapeshift into bodyguards so they could get through security. He put the woman that Richard had worked with in charge and teleported the man that Jeff had broken out of jail away. She thought that Shannon wasn’t doing a good job of getting through the security, so she walked in and started a fight. Jeff took a big hit from one of the guards, but managed to knock them out. He accidentally knocked out the woman, too, but the party managed to revive her and continue. They got to a room with a man who was going through some files. Jeff ended up incapacitating him, too, and the woman got the files the group was supposed to be looking for and they left. Outside, they found Benjamin and the woman gave him the file they had just taken. He burned the file in front of them and then teleported Richard and Jeff back where he had taken them from. Then he took Shannon to his organization’s headquarters to find Justin and teleported them to where the tracker that he had put on Justin’s cell phone was.

Super Temps Raid
Welcome to your Adventure Log!
A blog for your campaign

Every campaign gets an Adventure Log, a blog for your adventures!

While the wiki is great for organizing your campaign world, it’s not the best way to chronicle your adventures. For that purpose, you need a blog!

The Adventure Log will allow you to chronologically order the happenings of your campaign. It serves as the record of what has passed. After each gaming session, come to the Adventure Log and write up what happened. In time, it will grow into a great story!

Best of all, each Adventure Log post is also a wiki page! You can link back and forth with your wiki, characters, and so forth as you wish.

One final tip: Before you jump in and try to write up the entire history for your campaign, take a deep breath. Rather than spending days writing and getting exhausted, I would suggest writing a quick “Story So Far” with only a summary. Then, get back to gaming! Grow your Adventure Log over time, rather than all at once.
